Update 210.26 positives

I just want to mention that this update is positive for me. My pulse, and thus zone minutes and exercise, are picking up faster and more accurately after the update. I have been wearing the Fitbit inspire 3 on my ankle for more than a year now, and it was not picking up my pulse hardly at all, but picked up steps much better, so I was happy with that. Now with update 210.26 my Fitbit is also picking up my pulse much better, so I just wanted to give some positive feedback. I noticed a huge boost in zone minutes, and in short bursts of activity auto captured, which correlate much better with what I am doing during the day. I was skeptical of my pulse being picked up so well, but I compared to my pulse via palpation, and it is much closer than before, so I am very happy. Thank you.

Hi @Jorp  thanks for sharing this. I haven't updated yet, but it seems it's working out well for you.

This is encouraging information.

So, you are not experiencing the numerous sync issues that many people have reported, or wildly inaccurate heart rate and zone minute readings after downloading the new FW?

I have not noticed any sync issues personally. My heart rate and zone minutes are a huge improvement from before, where it was capturing almost none. I compared Fitbit pulse rate with palpation a few times, which is not exactly gold standard either, but I would not personally characterize it as wildly inaccurate. I am in the ballpark now, which is enough for me, so I want to support that development.

Thanks for sharing your experience with 210.26.

Since it appears that this 210.26 FW rollout is still ongoing, Google-Fitbit must be okay with it, so maybe I'll try updating the FW to 210.26 before my wife does, just in case I experience performance issues.

I'll provide an update after testing the new FW.

Okay, I am now running with 210.26 device FW and 4.23 app SW, with no immediate sync issues after the FW download, so this is a good start.

I see many posts about heart rate, active zone minute and exercise management issues running with this new FW, but very few people have anything positive to say about it.

I recently downloaded the new FW on my wife's and my devices and had no sync issues, which was better than my 194.91 FW upgrade went.

Our heart rate measurements are about the same as they were before, but my AZMs dropped significantly since the FW upgrade while my wife's AZMs increased quite significantly, for no apparent reason other than the FW download.

I turned off all my auto start and stop exercise settings and turned GPS on for walks, but left all my wife's settings at their default values.  No unusual behavior so far.

My sleep statistics look about the same, but my wife still doesn't get sleep stages, and HRV and Breathing Rate heart metrics returned, so that was a bit disappointing.  I was hoping that the new FW would resolve that performance issue.
