What are the sports that the Inspire 3 tracker track?

Hello everyone 🙂

I'm considering the Inspire 3 tracker, but before potentially buying it, I need some help with the sports it tracks.

I tried to find the list of every sport a Fitbit tracker can track, but can't seem to find anything besides the basic stuff (walking, running, outdoor cycling).

Can someone provide me such list or link?

p.s. : i'm into these sports below :

  • outdoor cycling

  • spinning

  • ice skating

  • roller blading

  • SUP

  • swimming

  • alpine skiing

  • cross-country skiing

  • hiking

Any help is appreciated, thanks 😄

Hi, @karolinaxooox , you can actually track any exercise or activity with the Inspire 3.  Some activities are built in, some you have to create as a “custom activity”.

The built in activities are: walk, run, bike, swim, workout, treadmill, weights, interval workout, elliptical, hike, golf, stair climber, tennis, spinning, yoga, boot camp, circuit training, kickboxing, martial arts, Pilates, outdoor workout.

You can add 6 of these to your Fitbit at a time, and swap them in and out whenever you like.

As mentioned above, for any activities not on the list, you can create a custom activity.  Then you track your exercise as a workout or outdoor workout and then categorize afterwards in the app.  I know of people who track their piano practice, their panic attacks, etc.

@karolinaxooox  My first Fitbit was a Charge 4.  Now I use a Versa 4 and I think it is a better choice than an Inspire 3 for what you do.  The Inspire 3 tracks the same 20 or so activities as my Charge 4 did.  My Versa 4 has 40 activities, including everything on your list.  EVERYTHING.  It also includes things like Core training and CrossFit.  You might be disappointed if you do open water swimming.  Swim is designed for pool swimming.

I was never happy with the workarounds to track things like cross country skiing and ice skating.  I’m much happier with my Versa 4.

If you put your Fitbit on your ankle when you ride your spin bike, then you just don’t get it.

I found those 40 activities being just new labels not bringing anything useful. There is more of an issue that some activities have been downgraded. Cycling lost essential auto-pause, running lost lap-based metrics (lap time, lap pace), swimming (on Sense 2) lost real-time lap counting. I went back from Sense 2 to Sense because of those downgrades. I prefer to have less icons and labels but more functional watch. Because what new Versa 4/Sense 2 do? Rowing doesn't count strokes, neither gives stroke rate, SUP doesn't do that either, climbing doesn't count ascents, all of them are Workout/Outdoor Workout renamed and new icon given. Instead, activities known from previous models got downgraded. Too high price to pay for 20 extra labels. But probably original Sense would be better option than Inspire 3 (but also it's a different kind of device in design) and currently not expensive.

@t.parker  I don’t understand why you responded to me.  I am very happy with my purchase.  I really don’t care that you stopped using your Sense 2 or why.  If you have a recommendation, then please tag the OP.  I’m not interested in your opinion.

@NanaRuns I responded because I can (everyone can, public forum). Your reply wasn't relevant to the topic either (question was about Inspire 3, not Sense 2). I clarified what to expect after Sense 2 when it comes to extra activities so OP can make better decisions whether it's worth it to invest into it. I'm not criticising your choice.
