What happens if I stop syncing with my phone?

I'm switching from a smartphone to a dumbphone, and ideally I'd like to still use the Fitbit to track my steps, calories burned, heart rate, alarm, and timers. I can see all this data on my Inspire 3, but I currently have Bluetooth and syncing automatically on my phone, which is never away from my fitbit more than 20 minutes a day.

If I turn off my smartphone and just stop syncing, can I still use the Fitbit for daily steps, calories burned, heart rate, alarm, and timers? I don't care if I can't see weekly stats, or don't get any badges, or don't get any advanced stats or sleep scores. Just that I can still use it for daily use for those 5 features. Thanks!

Hello @m1aroo and welcome to the Community.  A big problem is that you won't be able to change the time if if you travel across times zones or need to change the time for daylight savings time.  Some users say that the time can drift and lose/gain minutes if it isn't synced regularly.  For example, going camping for more than a week and the time was wrong when they were able to sync.

You can keep using the old phone without a SIM card and sync with your home wi-fi.

@LZeeW , Thank you for sharing your insights and your help.

@m1aroo , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.

As LZeeW already mentioned, we suggest to sync the Fitbits at least once or 2x a day as the time on the Fitbit may need to be corrected.
On the other hand, you can use the Inspire 3 for days without syncing. Your Inspire 3 saves the data from the last 7 days completely and the one from the last 30 as summaries. Keep in mind that the longer you don't sync the longer it will take for the next time you sync your device.

As suggested by LZeeW you could use your smartphone or another smart device (where you can install the latest Fitbit app) with wifi, if you decide not to use a smartphone as your main mobile device.
