I am really sad about this because I switched from my Apple Watch to a more slim watch for the reason of keeping it simple and focusing on step count. My new Fitbit is so incredibly wrong with my steps that I can’t even ball park what I might have actually walked for the day. I have changed my stride, I wear it on my non dominate wrist but have it marked as my dominate wrist, I have restarted the device, and read every article I can find. It’s not too loose or too tight and I don’t do anything for work that would require a lot of arm movement. When I put it on after charge, it was at zero and in 5 seconds it jumped to 50 steps, and over a few minutes was up to 500 steps before I even left the house. Throughout the day the step count jumps like crazy. Do I just have to accept that the step count is off by THOUSANDS a day.
