Hello @elvis12 and welcome to the Community. No, you don't. Certain information becomes part of your account when you set up your Fitbit. Save any proof of purchase if you didn't buy it from the Google Store. Please save your box. It has the serial number on it. You might be asked for the serial number if you file a claim.
