Compatibility with my Android phone + Inspire HR

Please can anyone tell me if my Android Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro phone (which I own/use) will be compatible with a Inspire HR?

If not what type of tracking device (sleep/heart rate/steps should I be looking at that will be compatible with my phone?

I do not want to buy a new phone and like the narrow look of the Inspire HR.

Any help sincerely appreciated please.

Hi @Megams  It is not on the Supported Devices List but in its self that doesnt mean it wont work. I do know there are difficulties with some of the Unsupported J series phones,  but cant tell you if that one will work or not.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply.

I did have a Fitbit Altra which would not sync with this phone when I bought it so sold the Fitbit recently.

I really want to find a suitable tracker/fitness support band of some sort and hope my phone is not going to be an issue.   It seems such a waste of money as phone only 3 years old if that.

I noted the J2 was not mentioned on the list and don't know if to go ahead & buy the Inspire HR or not.

@Megams  If and Alta didnt work with you phone, I very much doubt an Inspire will. The Alta uses an older less complicated Operating System so I dont think the Inspire, which demands more of the connection to your phone, has much chance of working with it. Sorry

Hi NellyG  - Sorry for not getting your original name correct . Thank you very much for your help, most appreciated.   

Have u got any tips for which Fitbit or other such similar device I could choose that would be compatible with my phone?      I'm only wanting to monitor steps & sleep - nothing too complicated at all.   Our tech age is advancing sooooo fast......

If the Alta didnt sync with the phone then there is unlikely to be any fitbit that will, I am sorry.

Have told the store concerned to cancel my order of the Inspire HR.

Scratching my head to see what I can do next??
