30,000 steps w/o being worn

I've left my ionic on my dresser overnight. Got up to find 30,000 steps had been completed. This has happened twice. Any idea what would cause this?

Did the steps reset at midnight?

When looking at a graph of today's steps, where these 30k recorded today?

Was there something on the dresser that was vibrating such as a fan?

 

I have no answer, just thoughts.

The steps did reset  the last time. I'll see in the morning if it resets again. Steps were recorded between midnight and 6 a.m. and yes there is a fan. The device is picking up the vibrations.

Other users have noticed that being by a fan has given them many steps.
