So my 3rd warranty Iionic has died. Nothing on the screen, just like the previous 2. I wasn't doing anything, just sitting at my computer. I assume since the warranty is now expired there is nothing that can be done? Has anyone figured out the cause of Ionics just dying for no reason?

My Ionic did the same thing today. It was working just fine now it won’t do anything at all. It had about 30% battery left. Tried to plug it in but still nothing. Pretty bummed!

My first Ionic I purchased 15 months ago also did the same thing. The screen shows some lines and that's all. Tried reset but does not work. As it is happening to most people for this brand, is there something the company can do?

After freaking out (constantly switching between screens) yesterday, the battery ran out. Now it won’t charge so I’m assuming it’s dead. My brother has been pretty happy with his Garmin and their service.

So I did a little more digging and for how to “reboot” the Ionic. Hold all 3 buttons for 15 seconds and the watch rebooted. You can find this on YouTube. The time read exactly when it turned off and stopped working. Took a few minutes to sync back to my phone and has been working since last night. One other time the watch died, not just the screen but sensors on back also. I did not have time to mess with it but When I came back to it it was working. We will see but I don’t know if I have a lot of hope for it. Figured it would last longer🙁

Hopefully you did that digging in this forum? The reboot sequence has been posted probably hundreds of times in previous weeks, months and years. Forum archiving is a wonderful resource for those willing to look through the archive.

The battery in your Ionic is probably loosing capacity. Try not to let it drain too much before charging. As the battery ages there is an increasing likelihood of the battery draining below a voltage level that most chargers can recharge it successfully from. Using a higher current charger can sometimes help. But the 3 fingered approach often works to kickstart it.
