Hi, I'm a nurse and we are not allowed to wear watches on our wrist, as we need to be 'bare below the elbow'.
Can I place my Ionic watch on my ankle as I want to wear it all the time.

I have used the ionic at the ankle and got steps and heart rate without an issue. Obviously it needs to be above the ankle proper to get the pulse.

You could wear it on the ankle, but i am not sure if you can read it.
The display will turn off after some time (several seconds) and i don't know if you can turn the ankle the right way to show the display again (display on again i mean).
Maybe you can find a watch cover that you can hang down from the shoulder/chest (old fashioned way that i used when i was young and a male nurse)

... I just want it to track my steps and pulse rate. I will use my fob watch for the time. I just wanted to know if it would be able to monitor the Steps and pulse rate on my ankle.
Have you or anyone checked out it works on the ankle?
Caz

It might track your steps, but I doubt it would be able to monitor the pulse rate though.

Well there you go, you learn something new everyday 🙂 I honestly didn't think it would be able to read the pulse down there, but given my somewhat flabby chunky leg I doubt it would work on me 😉
@Gunnerp245you should post a pic of how you wear it so @CarolineVB can get an idea of the best way to wear on the ankle if you can

Awesome! I used to put it in my pocket when I was a dental assistant as we too couldn't wear anything below the elbow yet did LOADS of steps a day. Now I am finding when I go mountain biking that I get no to very little steps even for a 20k bike ride so I am going to try the ankle (no pockets in my bike shorts)
