So Fitbit App shows total calories used in a day. Any way to break that down into Active/Passive calories?

Fitbit's app is really good about breaking down time spent in exercise zones (fat loss, cardio, peak), but it doesn't track calories of those separately.

There is a forum here called Feature Suggestions, that you could request this feature be added at some point. Fitbit monitors that area for new ideas, and others can vote for it. With enough votes, Fitbit might make it happen. I think it's a really good idea.

Hi @Enbleu,

I'm not completely sure what you mean by active and passive calories, but I'll give it a shot.

I would look up a BMR calculator online, which will give you an estimate of your base calorie usage, (which I hope is what you meant by passive). You could subtract this number from your total calorie expenditure, and that would give you some idea of active calories.

Thanks. My Apple Watch breaks down active/resting energy. I wish Fitbit did that.

The balance between exercise calories and BMR calories was always part of the paid-for Premium subscription when I had it in the past. I assume that it still is although I haven’t tried it for a year or two.

There is a feature request for this, but it doesn't have many votes. I highly encourage everyone to vote for this feature. It would save a lot of confusion for many users.

@MikeFFitbit aren't taking anymore subscriptions for our original Premium Service. I will have over 6 years of history that for future comparison will be meaningless.  Here is the link

Fitbit Coach has no reference to similar analytics we were getting in Premium.  Mr Park CEO made a statement to increase the revenue of Premium but made no mention of Fitbit Coach Premium..

Many of us are interested in the effort calories over and above BMR.
