Adding Card to Fitbit pay iphone

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I use Windows phone and since I can't add a card for Fitbit Pay using the Windows Phone app, I'm trying to use the Fitbit app on my work iPhone.  However, I keep getting the following:  "Bluetooth timed out.  Please make sure your Bluetooth is turned on and that your device is nearby."  Should this method work?  Thanks.

Hey there @KevinWheeler, it's great to have you around the forums! To start, add at least 1 credit or debit card from a participating bank to the Wallet section of the Fitbit app:

  1. With your watch nearby, from the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon > your device image.
  2. Tap or click the Wallet tile.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a payment card. In some cases, your bank may require additional verification. If you’re setting up Fitbit Pay for the first time, you’ll be prompted to set a 4-digit PIN code for your watch (if you haven’t already done so). Note that you also need to have Touch ID or a PIN code turned on for your phone.
  4. After you’ve added a card, follow the on-screen instructions to turn on notifications for your phone (if you haven’t already done so) to complete the setup.

You can add up to 6 cards to the Wallet and choose 1 card to add to your watch.

Hope this helps, I'll be around if you need further help!

Hello There,

I am having trouble getting my new ANZ - Access Visa Debit card working in the wallet (every time I go to set it up I get the message this card isn't supported), I have gone and specially opened an ANZ account so I can use the Fitbit pay function.

I have an Iphone 5s so am wondering if I need an NFC phone for the function to work or will my Ionic work as a stand alone with Fitbit pay.

I hope I can get this sorted out as the main reason I update my Blaze to and Ionic was for the Fitbit pay function and will be rather disappointed if it doesn't work

Cheers

Grant

Hey there @graker, thanks for jumping up here! Fitbit Pay works with many of the major credit and debit cards from the top banks and card issuers around the world. To check if your card is supported, see the Fitbit Pay Bank List.

Note that some cards from participating banks might not be supported in Fitbit Pay. Contact your bank or issuer for more information.

If your bank and card are includes, follow the steps I shared above to add the card.

Hope that helps!

Did you see the error that I said that I was getting on the iPhone?  Please look at my original post.  Thanks.

Hello Kevin

Thank you for your reply my issue wasn't with Bluetooth sync, I was getting a message that the card wasn't supported with Fitbit pay.

After going thru everything again I found the issue I was having was I was putting QLD in the state line and not Queensland, Fitbit instructions do not point out that the address instructions have to be exactly  the same as the address on the account with no abbreviations at all.

This was a little annoying but I now have it sorted out, so now I have Fitbit pay on my Ionic which has caused me new syncing issues which I will address with a new topic.
