I've seen previous posts on this, but nothing recent, so I'd figure I make this post to see where Fitbit is at.
My Airpods pair with my Ionic, but when I play music, it is stuck on the highest setting and volume control doesn't work. I've tried resetting my Ionic and unpairing/pairing my Airpods. The closest I got to a solution was sometimes (like 1 in 4) when repairing my Airpods with my Ionic, the volume control would work for about five seconds, and then go back to max volume.
The last post I saw about this was in 2018. Are there any updates to this issue, or is Fitbit still working toward a resolution?

Any updates on this? I just spent several hours uploading music to my Ionic, and the volume is WAY too low

It's great to see you around @OneVision. I would like you to make sure that you tap on volume up in your headphones. The volume should be controlled from the Ionic or in your headphones but not directly to the music that you've already uploaded.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I did turn up the volume using the buttons in the music app. I really can’t raise the volume directly from the AirPods. It’s not very loud.

Hello
this is also a problem for me when I listen to music directly from my Versa 2 to my Apple AirPods (can not control the volume). Connects well and volume is just about bearable - I would of course like to lower the volume 🙂
any plan on a firmware update as this seems to affect quite a few users.
thanks
Robby

@RobbyWales Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.
Fitbit is unable to control the volume on Apple Airpods. However, we're always striving to improve our features that's why we have our Feature Suggestion board. Please vote for this idea to show your support, the status will change based in Fitbit's plans.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
