Hey folks,

I want 3 simple things for my running experience with the ionic / fitbit in general.

1. (automatically) Record my run with all stats HF/Pace /distance.

2. Give me an audio Feedback of those stats while running (and music)

3. upload my run to strava

so now I have three different ways of doing the above but none can do all of the above together.

the methods.

1. start exercise on my Ionic.

Pro:

- no phone required

- auto upload run to strava with all stats

- visual feedback of my stats while running

con

- NO AUDIO (HEADPHONE) FEEDBACK OF MY STATS WHILE RUNNING, BUT WHY 😞

method 2.

start running via fitbit app (phone)

pro:

- audio feedback to my headphones

con:

- not working together with ionic ->double tracking

- phone required

- no upload to strava (not sure on this one)

Method 3

record run with strava

-> why would I need the ionic then?

the only solution I found record with ionic and strava (phone) simultaneously, then delete the run recorded with the phone (no ♥ Tracking)

Am I just too stupid or is there srsly no way to do the above with only one thingi?

Accepted Solutions

The reason there is no audio feedback is simply because for it has not enabled it .Please add your vote. Audio cues over bluetooth from Ionic

As for Strava the user needs to sync the tracker before turning off the tracking function.

The ionic gives visual feedback during a run when manually started.

With the ionic we now have GPS on the auto. run detect .This will give distance but I'm not sure if the exercise will transfer to Strava or what is displayed on the tracker.

it's so weird that this thing has only 70 upvotes. for me it is the most important thing a sport smart watch for running should provide you

70 up votes is hardly anybody considering how many ionics have been sold.

Since this was requested for the Blaze, do to the design it was impossible to implement, iI feel it was a slap in the users face to not put verbal running clues in from day one.
