Android app says device lock is disabled when it isn't

On my phone settings screen:

But on the device lock screen:

In other words, one screen says device lock is disabled, the other says it's enabled. Clearly some sort of bug in the Android app.

That is correct @SunsetRunner you have the app set to lock Fitbit pay. When the device lock is enabled, the only screen the user can get to without unlocking  is the clock face. 

So yes your ionic device has it's lock disabled.
