I don't think it is any surprise in over a year the Ionic is still lacking a lot of the "advertised" features. That while aren't in any specific Fitbit sponsored ads were reported to multiple news outlets and reviewers to ensure they were known.
These include the well known blood oxygen sensor (SP02), but also includes any actual device based smart apps (that don't require a constant internet connection through the app to work. But I am curious about the continuous glucose monitoring (GCM) from their partnership with Dexcom. It announced this would be in the Ionic. Now I understand it is cheaper to put in sensors that might not even work properly than it is to pay someone to develop the software to use them. I also realize turning on more features on what is already considered low battery life for a fitness tracker but it is higher than most actual smart watches so this could even out.
So where are these features?
Also if anyone is interested in details about the GCM collaboration for the Ionic (which if it ever gets enabled might actually make Fitbit a more viable brand as many are now introducing blood pressure and other measurements that Fitbit can't compete with).

@SunsetRunner I hope you're doing well! Thanks for your interest in having those features on your Ionic. Thanks for sharing your input regarding this.
I do not have much information about this but the one I can see on the corresponding Feature Suggestions:
The Fitbit team will be updating those features accordingly once any updates are available. Any implementation made will be announced at the forums too.
Rest assured that if I found out any information about this; will let you know.
Keep me posted!
