My hourly activity from this morning was not tracked, even though I logged over 1000 steps each hour. Is there a way to correct this? It seems to be working now, but did not add activity from this morning.

It's pretty weird that your Ionic isn't adding your data to the hourly activity tile. I would like you to make sure that your watch is syncing to your account because this can be the reason why it's not adding that information to this tile.
You can check this by going to your Dashboard and below your tracker's picture, you'll see when was the last time it synced. If it hasn't synced, you can try this syncing troubleshooting.

It is syncing. I think the problem had to do with the update.
