Don’t get me wrong, I love my Ionic. I upgraded from the Blaze, mostly fo the built in GPS. It means I don’t need to lug my phone with me when I run, which is awesome. However, for the rest of the day, I do actually have my phone on me. Crazy right? My phone holds MOUNTAINS more music than my workout/run playlists. Playing music from the Ionic is great and all, but I have way more that the watch can hold, and I listen to it. I like listening to it. Most of the time I am listening to other playlists while while driving, or just at work when it’s a bit slow.
However, controling music on your phone is terrible on the Ionic. Granted, tethered music was the only option on the blaze, but I grew to like being able to adjust volume, pause/play, and change tracks from my watch so I didn’t have to dig out my phone every single time. Can someone make a small app to bring this back in an more intuitive way? PLEEEEEAAAAASSSEEE!
😄 Thanks 😄

I take it you have followed the the steps posted below? What is it you don't like about how the Ionic handles music control?
As for your request, you may have more success getting the attention of a developer by posting in the Fitbit App Gallery forum.

Yes, I have followed the steps. But thank you for the manspaining in explicit detail how to press “play”. And that really is the problem. On the blaze, it was swipe down from the top and there was your music controls. Now look how long your explanation is and you tell me which is “better”.
