Apple iPad Pro 10.5 support

I just purchased a new iPad, and my Ionic does not pair (the iPad doesn't even recognize the device).  Is this because Fitbit does not support the 10.5" device yet?  Or am I doing something wrong?  I've tried all of the old reliables - turning bluetooth off/on; turning the iPad off/on; turning the Ionic off/on.  Nothing has worked...  any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @kms1012  and welcome!  Please provide the model number of your iPad.  The Model number can be found on on the back cover:

  • Example:  A1893 on the iPad (6th generation) Wi-Fi
  • Example:  A1954 on the iPad (6th generation) Wi-Fi + Cellular

This will enable me to assist you further.  Also, you do have the Fitbit App loaded on your iPad, correct?

Thanks!

Hello @kms1012 , your model iPad is not on the list of Supported Devices, however, lets see if we cannot get things worked out.  Using the fitbit App on your iPad, are you seeing your Ionic?  I realize your not able to connect via Bluetooth, but this is a process, so please bare with me.  Since you did a copy from your previous iPad, that may be causing the hiccup.

If I open the app, it does show the Ionic and blinks that it is looking for it.  However, when I go to Bluetooth, it doesn't show there.

Do you have any Ionic's listed in the Bluetooth Settings area on your iPad?  If so, please "Forget" them.  Than ensure your Ionic is ON, Charged and Open the iPad Bluetooth Settings.  See if your Ionic appears under the "Other Devices" area.

Semper Fi 1stSgt!  Have you completed a RESET on your Ionic?  This is done by pressing the LEFT and bottom RIGHT buttons at the same time and waiting for the Fitbit Icon to appear, than releasing the buttons.  Lets do that next, than force close the Fitbit App on your iPad and RESTART your iPad.  When your iPad Restarts, open the Fitbit App and see if the two sync.

First, when I depress the left button and lower right button all that happens is a brief blink.

I shut off and restarted the iPad; settings show still no bluetooth connection (or even any devices listed as discoverable).  Naturally, the FitBit app also says it is looking for the device.  It won't find it if it isn't paired to bluetooth...
