Are updates truly necessary?

What happens if you choose not to accept updates to your perfectly working Ionic?

You own it, you brought so you should be able to have a say about potentially damaging software being installed.

It's not too much to ask for the device to be able to work without the updates, is it?

Hi @SunsetRunner  when my Samsung Android phone needs an update, I can only ignore it for so long before Samsung makes it happen. I've always accepted updates on my Fitbit and it's always worked out. Better to take the update, as it fixes some glitches from the previous version. Updates help to keep current and often is quite necessary.
