BPM not working

My Ionic stopped measuring my BPM since yesterday.

I have tried rebooting, turning heart rate functions on and off and even did a factory reset. Nothing works.

Help would be appreciated as this is not the first time I've had trouble with Ionic. Makes it not worth it

A warm welcome to the Community @Mark_jaa. Thanks for the details that you've mentioned and the troubleshooting that you've performed.

Please make sure your Ionic is positioned correctly on your wrist:

  • Tighten the band just enough so it doesn’t slip on your wrist. Your device needs a solid contact with your arm to reliably track your heart rate.
  • Heart-rate tracking may not work with certain accessory bands, especially if they’re loose fitting. Move the band to a slightly different position on your arm—a little higher or a little lower.

Thanks for your advice @Rich_Laue.

Hello @Mark_jaa are your Herat rate lights still flashing? Have you checked the settings app on the ionic to see if heart had been turned off?  These would be the first things you will want to check.

Best Answer

Lights flashing is sporadic. Sometimes when I turn it on they are flashing, sometimes not.
When they are not flashing turning off and on the cardiac funtions makes them flash, sometimes not. Although even when they are flashing it won't mark my BPM. This is getting really frustrating.

Hey, thanks for your tips, but those are definitely not the issues. I've been using the watch the same way for weeks and didn't have issues before. This came up recently and that's why I'm asking for help.

I have same problem. Nothing works. I stopped wearing my watch as BPM and sleep are the two most important dictions, and neither works.  Help!

Best Answer

I just ran into this problem and won't get it working at all.

It seems like the latest firmware update has made a mess. I also use it predominantly for bpm and sleep info.

Bpm not working. Is there a fix for this. I bought for tracking sleep and heart rate monitor. Only 1 year 1/2 old.
factory reset, restart charged. No flashing lights. Started after last update

My bpm is not working either.  I’ve rebooted. Moved in wrist.  Nothing. Please help

Best Answer

I've noticed the same problem since yesterday.
No more BPM, no green lights and my steps are totally wrong.
Plus I had 250 steps every hours but it doesn't appear on my app.

Thanks. I did this unfortunately my watch was over 12 months old so I was told I could get $40 off new watch. I don’t want to buy a new one if this is defect and they don’t stand behind it. It’s too much money to replace every year and a half.
Best of luck with your new watch.

Totally agree. I'm really frustrated bc we paid a watch more than 280€ (I'm French). My watch was still under guarantee until July 19, just a month ago and Fitbit doesn't want to do something.
I'm an old customer (I'm wearing a Fitbit since 2015) and they just offer a 35% promotion!!
This is really frustrating.

Thanks for your reply!
Take care -
