Hello,

I actually have a similar issue, as of 3 days ago.  The only difference between before and now is that my phone updated to Android 9 (from Android 7 previously).  As an example, I fully charged my phone before going to bed last night. I woke up this morning (6.5 hours later) and my phone was down to 30% battery.  Prior to this, I would charge my phone only every 2-3 days.  Phone is LG Q6.

thank you,

I believe the Ionic battery is defective in all devices. Mine died overnite after 23 months. Now that I look through the forum, I see lots and lots of Ionic owners reporting the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE.

This is a defective product issue. And we deserve something better than a 25% coupon on a new device! That's just going to die in less than 2 years?

No problem. I am just shocked that Fitbit continues to ignore an obvious issue with Ionic batteries failing prematurely!

Unless, of course, it's NOT premature for an Ionic battery to fail in less than 2 years.

This is not an isolated issue. These forums contain numerous reports of the exact same experience: sudden (overnight) failure of Ionic watch batteries to hold a charge. Clearly, there is some issue with the batteries that manifests itself, probably after a certain number of charges/discharges.

If this is expected behavior, then that is a material aspect of the product design that should be disclosed to buyers before purchase (i.e., "This product is designed to last approximately 2 years of daily use. After which it will become non-functional and unrepairable.")

If, instead, this is NOT expected behavior, then that is clear evidence that some of us were sold "lemon" devices with hidden defects that are now materializing. If that is true, we have a right to expect a reasonable resolution: refund or item replacement with a non-defective device.

So, for the record, what is the designed battery life of an Ionic watch under daily use that requires regular charging? How many charges/discharges can the battery cycle through before catastrophic loss of functional behavior?

Is the design life of an Ionic watch really only 2 years!?!?!?!
