Hi, I am new Ionic user. Generally like it, but must say do not quite understand the way it logs things. I used the exercise app today, told it I was biking.....got on my stationery bike and rode for 45 minutes, keeping my heart rate in the fat burning zone and then some in the aerobic zone (I am 70 yrs old).
When I was finished, I stopped the exercise, it said I rode for 45 minutes....but in my logs, it only gave me 16 active minutes....
Also walked on the treadmill....used same process.....and it logged me as 45 active minutes.
Any ideas why this might be?
Thanks.

Hi, thanks for idea. Tried spinning, rode 25 minutes....it gave me 68 calories burned and zero active minutes. 😞
Surely it could tell by my heart rate that I was being active....but zero. Humph!

Hello @SunsetRunner, it's good to see you around in the Community forums.
Thank you for your inquiry about the active minutes during biking or stationary biking activity. Your Fitbit device recognizes and awards active minutes when the activity you're doing is more strenuous than regular walking, which includes everything from a brisk walk to a cardio workout or run. If the same activity gives you active minutes one day and fewer active minutes the next day, remember that the intensity of exercise is key. Often what seems like the exact same amount of effort over the same distance in fact differs slightly enough to change your active minutes total.
If your activity is intense, and you're still having some trouble to get active minutes recorded, please try to perform a restart on your Ionic and let us know how it behaves for the following days.
Keep us posted.
