Okay last question tonight i promise. When i pair my phone via Bluetooth to control music on my phone. It never stays paired. My ionic either states no connection or Artist information not available. I have to pair them again with varying degrees of luck.

I am pairing using ionic classic

A warm welcome to the Community @SunsetRunner. I would like you to make sure you don't have any other device paired to your phone as this can be interfering with the music. In this case, I would like you to restart your Ionic and try the steps mentioned here Why can't I control music on my phone with my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi. Thanks for the welcome.
I do not have anything else paired. Only Ionic and Ionic (classic)
I have tried the solution you mentioned but it still won't work. It appears that the Ionic does not stay connected to my phone (Galaxy S6). I have set my phone to always viable.
I unpaired the Classic and re-paired this AM and all was working fine.  I had the song name and band etc.  I left my phone in my office and when I returned the Ionic is saying "phone not connected"
I have unpaired and re-paired it again and am now getting "artist info not available" on the song that I had the song name and band for this AM.
It just seems all very random and unstable. Surely I should not need to keep unpairing an re-pairing every time.

Thanks for getting back @SunsetRunner. I appreciate the extra details you've mentioned. In this case, I would like you to restart your tracker and follow the control music steps once again. In this case, you shouldn't be doing the whole procedure again as once your Ionic is nearby it should connect.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
