Bluetooth issues

Hi

My new fit bit ionic has bluetooth issues which appearshould to be a common fault with new fit bit watch. Given its price tag,  I think this is simply unacceptable. I expect a definite fix to the problem or simply a refund. Very disappointed to say the least!

Like I said I don’t think these devises are not fit for purpose

if if they were then Fitbit would be all over this issues and have it resolved by now but all I hear is silence......

Bluetooth reception between ionic and jay bird x3 headphones is getting horrible. Is the bluetooth connection from fitbit just too weak to handle a crowded gym surrounded by many other interfering bluetooth connections or is something up with my ionic. It seems to work fine when solo/ not near anyone else.

Huh that’s is weird. I haven’t had that issue just couldn’t keep it connected. After getting a replacement though it seems to work fine. Thank goodness

I’ll add in my 2 bits as well... have tried all the fixes I’ve seen here and on reddit. I just can’t get a decent signal between my ionic and my Bluetooth Trekz Titanium by Aftershokz (which pairs fine with my iPhone and iPad). Keeps dropping signal, sounds like a poorly tuned raido 😞 with skips and static.

My ionic also is unable to connect to Bluetooth and the clock is out of time.  This just with less than one year of use.  What are our options.  It seem to be a trend or a design issue.

This is an old thread, but seems to be a recurring issue and it's one that I just had, so....

The bluetooth on my Ionic decided to stop working today (after only having the watch for about 3 months).  My iPhone iOS upgraded last night, so I figured that must have been the issue.  Still, nothing that I did seemed to help.  I turned Bluetooth off and on, then repeated with turning the phone off and on in between...I thought I had reset my Ionic by pressing and holding the left and lower right buttons at the same time (more on this in a bit)...I uninstalled the Fitbit app from my phone and installed it again...I even removed the Ionic from my Fitbit app and tried to reinstall it.  This is where I contacted customer service, because I could not reinstall the Ionic, since the bluetooth was not syncing to the phone. After a brief chat, it turned out that I had not actually reset my Ionic when I had tried to do so the first time.  The instructions on the app's troubleshoot say to press the left and lower right buttons together.  I took it a step further and held them down after pressing.  The screen blinked and came back on, so I thought that it had been reset.  However, customer support had me hold the buttons down for 10+ seconds until the screen went completely dark and the Fitbit logo appeared on the screen.  After that, all was back to normal!

Basically, if you don't want to read all of my drama above, try to reset your Ionic by holding down the left and lower right buttons long enough for the Fitbit logo to appear on the screen.  That might fix your troubles!
