Am considering changing to Fitbit Ionic instead of blaze due to irritation/ burn mark issues with blaze . ..

does anyone know if Ionic is any better?

Which part of the Blaze caused the burn marks, the band/buckle or the part where the green light is?

I did experience slight irritation from the band of my Blaze and my skin got a little dry where the green lights were. I'm happy to say I haven't experienced either with my Ionic which I've had since launch day. Obviously we are all different so I can't personally talk for you, but so far so good. I've also not seen any reports on here about burning with the Ionic, so that's definitely a good sign.

This is something you should let customer service know. They might be able to offer you something good due to the issue.

I've just started to get burn marks from my Ionic. I contacted Fitbit. They do not appear to have a solution. Quoting the possibility of external factors and don't recommend any of their other models. I suspect they are trying to suggest there is no problem with their products.
