Calorie count not accurate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For some reason the calorie count is playing up for example today i have made only 2787 steps and it tells me I have burned off 2264 calories.

I deleted the app off my phone then reinstalled and it fixed it for a while but the count is close to one step for one calorie.

Help ?

Welcome back @Etazac. Thanks for the details mentioned. Sorry for the delayed reply.

I appreciate that you uninstalled the Fitbit app. I would like you to make sure that your personal information is properly entered in your Dashboard, because your basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the rate at which you burn calories at rest just to maintain vital body functions like breathing, heartbeat, and brain activity. Your BMR usually accounts for at least half of the calories you burn in a day and is estimated based on the physical data you entered when you set up your account: sex, age, height, and weight.

The calorie burn estimate that Fitbit provides takes into account your BMR, the activity recorded by your tracker, and any activities you log manually. You've still burned calories even if you haven't gotten out of bed yet.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
