I am curious about the following scenario.  After I work out, I often forget to stop my Ionic.  So while I am driving home and going about my day, the Ionic is tracking my workout.

Is there a difference in calories burned or any other metric?  Or does the Ionic simply pay attention to my heart rate to measure calories burned?

Hi @tsadowski,

That's a good question. In theory, the calories burned might be a little higher under the scenario you describe, since it's applying the MET value during the tracked exercise. Practically speaking, I've found the difference in calories to be fairly minimal due to the differences in heart rate. I usually just leave the activity time the way it is and move on, or use the Win10 app to edit the end time of the activity.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, WD.  I appreciate it.  You confirmed my suspicions but provided the technological rationale (applied MET rate) that I was missing.  Thank you.

Hi, @WavyDavey

What is the Win10 app that allows you to edit time in activity that you mention? I have used Fitbit in the past with Charge HR and was able to edit this info on the website on my computer, but I do not see that option now. I now am using an Ionic. I would appreciate any info you can give me. Thank you.
