Hey there @Username223, thanks for stopping by! I'm so sorry to hear about the difficulties you've been having connecting your Ionic. Don't give up yet my friend, I got your back!

I'd recommend taking a look at this article to get troubleshooting steps to set up your tracker to your account.

On the other hand, if you're trying to connect your watch to Wi-Fi; your Fitbit watch can connect to open, WEP, WPA personal, and WPA2 personal Wi-Fi networks. Your watch won’t connect to 5GHz, WPA enterprise, or public Wi-Fi networks that require logins, subscriptions, or profiles. If you see fields for a username or domain when connecting to the Wi-Fi network on a computer, the network isn’t supported. For best results, connect your watch to your home or work Wi-Fi network. Make sure you know the network password before connecting.

Note that you can connect your watch to a personal hotspot which lets you share the cellular data of your phone or tablet when you don’t have access to a Wi-Fi network. Additional data charges from your mobile carrier may apply.

You’re prompted to connect your watch to a Wi-Fi network during setup. If you skipped this step or want to add other networks to your watch, complete these steps:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon > your watch tile.
  2. Tap or click Wi-Fi Settings.
  3. Tap or click Add Network and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your watch.

After you add a Wi-Fi network, your watch automatically downloads new music or apps when it’s plugged into the charger and in range of the network.

Hope this helps, let me know if you need further help!

Followed all instructions and tried to connect to home network with no success. Tried over 20 times. As others noted poor quality device. Junk!

This problem is NOT FIXED.

I got a new ionic, and it connects fine with my android phone / computer; but it doesn't allow me to configure anything until I do the firmware upgrade.

After it upgrades (27.31.1.16); then it won't connect to my android phone/computer/ios phone at all !
The forum recommends a factory reset, but that just starts the cycle all over again, as it won't let me configure until the firmware upgrade is done.

I am a VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER. If this doesn't  get fixed soon, I will return it to the shop and go all over the internet leaving bad reviews.

I needed the device to help with some health issues, if I knew it would be this bad, I would have gone with a competitor!

I need this fixed.
