I am using a Macbook pro, and I followed the instructions on getting music onto the Ionic, but somehow the Fitbit connect cannot seems to find my playlist on iTunes. Both Ionic and Fitbit Connect are on the same wifi network
This is what I did.
1. I Installed the Fitbit Connect app for Mac
2. Use iTunes to create a playlist.
3. Open Fitbit Connect app
4. In Fitbit Connect app click "Manage My Music"
5. Back to Music App on Ionic and I select "Transfer Music" and wait for Fitbit Connect to find my Ionic.
6. Once connected, Fitbit scans and say "No Playlists Found"
7. I even added folders to where my music and my iTunes playlist are stored, still, Fitconnect cannot find any Playlists.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Problem solved, the playlist was not appearing on my iTunes music folder...moves all songs to iTunes music folder and Ionic is now able to see my playlist

Hey there @Sparhawk69, it's nice to see you around! Thanks for the steps you tried in order to connect your music with Ionic, nice way to go!
However, I'd recommend taking a look at this great post from @ErickFitbit for more troubleshooting steps and a complete guide on how to transfer your personal music to your Ionic.
Give that a go and let me know if you need further assistance!

@MarreFitbit thanks for the suggestion, I have tried the steps from @ErickFitbit but the Fitbit Connect still cannot find the playlist. Connecting to Ionic and Fitbit Connect is not an issue, it just cannot find the playlist.

Sparhawk - can you elaborate on what you did to fix this problem? I'm having the same issue. I've tried all the steps in the ErikFitbit post and it doesn't help.
In my case, I have a playlist in iTunes with one song and that song is located in the iTunes music folder.
Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone,
My Fitbit Connect app won't recognize my .mp3 files as valid for some reason. This means that when I choose my music as a playlist, it says no playlist found. Any idea why this is? Even when the files are stored in iTunes, it won't recognize it.

Hey! Did you ever find the solution? I have the same issue. Thanks 😊

My solution to this so far was to change my itunes preferences to store my music in the ~/Music folder directly and not in the ~/Music/Itunes/ItunesMedia or wherever it was... then restart itunes and restart the fitbit desktop app.
This was the solution to make the playlist appear anyway, though transferring any music is amazingly slow.
This is highly unsatisfying so far - I don't use itunes or playlists, but have had to set these things up just to try and get this working, why no option to drag music on to the watch manually? nor to do this using only the mobile app? My fitbit previously had no connection to my desktop machine.
All the reviews were right, this music syncing needs some work.

My fix for this was to click on the "create playlist" option then manually click and drag your music files from their location into the Fitbit app. Then you add that playlist to your fitbit and you are good to go.
