Cannot disable Fitbit Ionic email notifications

I have disabled email notifications, yet several are still getting through to my watch. I want to make it stop without having to completely reset and reboot the watch and then having to set the entire thing back up again.

@remydog30 Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for reporting the situation you are having with calendar notifications not turning off on your Ionic. Thanks for disabling them.

When you disable the email notifications, are you doing the following?:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon > your device image.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Tap the type of notification you'd like to disable (email), and make sure it's turned off.
  4. f your Ionic is receiving email notifications from other apps on your phone, tap App Notifications and make your choices.
  5. Sync your watch.

Please note that syncing your watch right after you have turned off the notifications is the most important part of this process. This is because; syncing will make the changes effective. Make sure your watch syncs immediately after making the changes.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

It is not the calendar notifications that I am trying to suspend. It is the email notifications. I have turned these off in the app, but they still get through to the phone.

@remydog30 Thanks for your reply and for sharing those details. Thanks for turning them off.

Have you synced your watch right after you turn them off? Try performing a sync immediately after turning email notifications off.

You could also try restarting your watch and check if that resolves this.

Keep me posted!
