Cannot sync Fitbit ionic to Phone

Hi

I am the proud new owner of a fitbit ionic however I cannot get it to sync to my Samsung s7. It keeps searching but cannot find it - I have been trying for hours! I've made all the recommended changes (turn off and on again, turned Bluetooth off for 10 seconds, even uninstalled and reinstalled app) but still searching and not finding. Any suggestions please as I am getting close to throwing it out of the window right now!!! Thanks in advance

Same here. Welcome to the club. It seems the ionic has this "known" issue, but nobody has given me a straight answer on how to fix it.

I also have a samsung S7. I wish you luck. I am now looking into how I can get this garbage device replaced. I have had it for less than 2 months.

I purchased my Ionic yesterday and I am having the same problem. I have a Dell desktop with Windows 10 AND a Verizon Moto Droid.  I cannot get it to connect to either device. I hope someone can help us get this figured out. If not, I will take it back to Best Buy.

Every customer service rep I speak to sends me to reset the device which works once. Then it goes back to not working. It's ridiculous.

I just got my ionic on Friday (former alta owner) and have had intermittent syncing issues.  After deleting, re-adding it works, then it works a couple more times randomly the goes hours without working no matter what I do.  I like the device but this is very frustrating! 😞

Using an LG phone and Windows 10 laptop- same issue with both.

Wifi also doesn't seem to work or ever really get configured.

Frustrating!

Mine has been doing it almost all week with the S7 as well. I got fed up and factory reset it yesterday and I am still trying to get it to even finish the set up process.

I finally got mine synched. I restarted my phone and that seemed to work. Fingers crossed it stays synched...

I ended up unlinking and relinking on the phone via bluetooth and it seems to be working again (last evening and still again this morning).  I'm not sure how long it will last, but hopes are high.  I also unlinked from the laptop and did not relink it- just in case it was getting confused what device it was linked to and subsequently connected to neither.
