So far, the Ionic seems to be OK. I've downloaded some music, and it's synced OK with my phone. One question: how do I get the weather app to display in Centigrade?
Thanks for your help, people.

@SunsetRunnerThanks for the information.. I just changed my units in Advanced Settings on the phone Dashboard to Imperial and synced the Ionic. Result: Fahrenheit....
Changing the units back to Metric and the weight to Pounds, synced, and that left the Weather at Centigrade.
Hope this helps @jones1901
I do not see a way to do that in the Fitbit weather app. All you can do is add locations. Perhaps a 3rd party app would allow that.
No idea if this will work, but you could try changing your location to a country that uses the metric system to see if that is tied into the app.
Thanks for your quick reply. I'm in Britain which reports the weather primarily in centigrade, so I don't expect that crossing the channel into France would make a difference. But I'll try it - any ideas how I convince my Ionic that I'm in a metric country? I could shrug my shoulders in a gallic manner, perhaps, and maybe it will recognise it?
This is very poor, Fitbit, if a simple change like that cannot be accommodated .

@jones1901 I have just noticed that my Weather App is on my phone... There is the settings gear wheel and the Temperature setting is there. It has the same name and icon as in the Fitbit App
Just opened the App within the Ionic dashboard on the phone and suddenly it said cannot connect with the Ionic.. But, there are no temperature settings in there, just the location.

@jones1901Changing the App on the phone to oF and syncing the Ionic makes no difference.. even though it's the same App. This screenshot from the App within the Ionic Dashboard on the phone stresses "Location".. but, I'm sure you have that set for the other functions in the Ionic.
Tapping the Contact Developer takes you into Fitbit Help and if you scroll through that it takes you to the possible Apps in the Ionic and more information on the Weather App.
I have a feeling it follows your weight and height in settings, both mine are metric and my weather app is C which it remained after i updated the town.
You would think that there would be a setting though.
I am in the UK.

@jones1901Thank you also... I'm having no issues in Australia and
no intention of going overseas to a country with the same units of measure....

Depending on the time of day and the country, you may see the email option which I find more progressive if the problem is like your issue.

@SunsetRunner@Colinm39- this looks like it to me too.
Thank you for working out what's going on.
To sum up:
- The app on Android is happy to use centigrade or fahrenheit.
- Fitbit's version is centigrade if you measure length in metric, otherwise it's fahrenheit.
- Fitbit's position on people who measure in feet and centrigrade: tough titty.
