Checking battery while using run function

How does one check one's battery level during a run?

One solution when I do the Comrades (90km) might be to run with my Ionic and Surge, switching to the second device when the first's battery is low. I can stitch the activities together on Strava.

But I'd need to know when the Ionic is low - maybe 15%? Can one set an alert?

Also, will the Ionic automatically save any activity that is being tracked if / when the battery dies?

It's great to see you around @pedris! At the moment, you won't be able to see the battery level during a run. However, If your battery is low (less than 24 hours remaining), Ionic will alerts you with the red battery indicator. If your battery is critically low (less than 4 hours remaining), the red battery indicator flashes.

Also, It's not possible to set an alarm to alert you that the battery is low. You may want to post your idea in our Feature Suggestion board, those are viewed by our engineers and developers and the best of this is that people can vote and comment on them.

If you've finished the activity, it will sync to your Dashboard. However, if it died before you were able to push the button to let it know you actually finished it then it will not sync as it wasn't saved.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! Useful info. Does the low battery indicator display during an
activity or only after?
