Connecting to track a bike ride

When I go to set my ionic to track a bike ride it will not connect to track it. It just permanently says "connecting". Can anyone help please?

What is trying to connect? Are you asking about the GPS? Have you restarted the tracker?

It is when I am trying to connect to gps. It won't connect and just says "connecting" the whole time.

Try restarting tracker. Do you have a clear view of the sky with few clouds?

Hi Rich

 I've tried that and yes the sky is usually fairly clear. I've had the watch for over a year and never had a problem before.
