I am thinking about getting an Ionic watch. I was wondering if I can create a route online and then transfer it to the Ionic and follow that route. Kind of a navigation for running. Seems like an obvious feature but I cant find any details on this.

So far is not possible to do so, though now that the new apps are being released, perhaps someone can code something similar to that (though I haven't checked what the new apps can do).

Wow that seems really odd. I looked at Strava and I cant even find that feature in there.
It is just an obvious feature that I didnt even thought about until I tried to compare it with Garmin.
I really hope fitbit is adding this service soon.

Try Endomondo. You can create routes there on web and follow in mobile.

Is that true? You can open a route in Endomondo but does it give you directions? And in audio cause I dont want to run and look at my Phone in hand

Any updates to this? The original post was in 2017. Have any route following apps been created/released for the ionic?
