My Ionic database has been updating for day now and I have excellent upload and download internet speeds. What is happening?

There is a known bug that was introduced with the android app version 3.15 that displays the message "upgrading database". The way round this is to force close the app: Settings - Apps - Fitbit - Force Stop

After I Force Stop do I uninstall the Fitbit app and then reinstall it?

I don't believe that's necessary. Just use the app again.
