I haven’t used my ionic in a while, but when I recently tried to charge it up again it won’t take a charge. I’ve done all the cleaning of the contacts, and tried the reset.
I bought it early on, so I’m sure I am out of warranty. Please help. I’d like to keep using it.
Thank you
Greg

Hi @pxlshooter,
Welcome to the Community!
Since you have already cleaned your contacts (thanks for that!) and you still can't charge it, that tells me that something is wrong either with the device or with the charger. Is it possible to get your hands on another Ionic charger for a few hours and try to charge it that way? If it charges, then all you would need would be a new charger.
If that doesn't work, I would contact Support (link is at the bottom of the page), as that would indicate that something is wrong with the device itself. I know you mentioned your device might be out of warranty, but it still might be worth a shot.

Hello Kristen. Thank you for the response. I’d be happy to try another cable if fitbit is willing to send me one. I don’t have access to another device to borrow a cable from and also do not want to invest in an accessory for a watch that may be bricked. I recall enough other commentaries that changing charging cables didn’t work.
Will Fitbit be willing to send me a cable?
Any other thoughts? If we assumed the cable didn’t help, what is the next step(s)?
thank you
Greg
