Device not charging

My daughter and I have Ionic fitbits.  Both are doing the same thing for the last month.   When we go to charge them, they wont take a charge.   Several days later, we try again and they will.   Different chargers, changed outlets, etc.    They are dead until they decide to charge.    Both are 2 years old.    This is my 3rd one.  My last one stopped taking a charge also.    We both have reset them.  Help!

The screen on both stay totally black.   The heart rate is not flashing now on my fitbit
