Device not tracking data

This is a replacement Ionic after mine would not charge and went black. I charged it last night, but today, not one step was logged in! What do I need to do or is this the end of this tracker too?

Hello @Mathgirl17 thanks for bringing this to my attention, it's nice to see you again participating in our Community Forums! I'm here to help you out.

 

Seems odd that your replacement device is not tracking your daily activity. Can you please let me know which stats your Ionic is not recording anymore? If you haven't already done so, please try restarting your device with the following steps:

 

  1. Press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. 
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If you still have issues with your device, turn it off and turn it back on. For more information, see How do I turn off my Fitbit device?

Hi Ricardo!

The only things that worked were the time and the heart-rate. Not only did
it not track anything, my "silent" alarm didn't vibrate at all. Thank
goodness my roommate used the bathroom about the same time I am supposed to
wake up otherwise I would have been very late to work!!

I did research a little more this morning and tried turning off and turning
back on my Fitbit and things are working now. I hope it lasts!!
