Device not tracking heart rate

My heart rate has stopped working. Has been going in and out but today wouldn’t pick up my heart rate 1/2 way through my workout. I’ve tried to reset it. I’ve also cleaned and charged it and tried resetting again. Anything else I should try?

I appreciate the information that was shared in your post and for troubleshooting your Ionic prior to posting. First, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors of your device are still flashing? Also, if you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why don't I see my heart rate on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

It is still flashing. I read the article. Somehow it just started working again. There was a short period since then that it stopped working again. Today it has been working without trouble.

My device isn’t doing the HR properly. It keeps not working. I try and reset it and sometime have to charge it for a while to make the heart rate start working again. Could there be a short or something in my device? I’m feeling very frustrated and thinking that maybe it’s time to look into a new watch.
