Hello,
For many times I noticed that when I begin running/biking, my Ionic displays strange HR values for the first 5-10 minutes (~90-100bpm), while my heart definitely beats much faster (about 150bpm).
Yesterday while running, I started the app and checked my heart rate. The app was displaying 154bpm, while Ionic showed 90bpm. After about 10 min of workout, the Ionic started to display values close to the app, but there was still significant lag (about 1 min), while the app displayed more or less accurate values (according my heart beat feeling).
I already tried to reset the Ionic for the several times, but it still works very strange.
Any suggestions?

Hello @prodmitry let me give you a warm welcome to our Community! I'm glad to help you out with your heart rate concern.
First, thank you for restarting your Ionic prior posting, I appreciate your effort and time. Let me share with you that you can see live heart rate data if you use the Fitbit app for iOS or Android with any Fitbit device that includes heart rate tracking. I recommend you to make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device. In the Fitbit apps for iOS and Windows 10, also make sure all-day sync is turned on. If you're using the Android app, you'll only see heart rate data if you have call, text, or calendar notifications enabled.
Also, with all heart-rate tracking technology, accuracy is affected by personal physiology, location of wear, and type of movement. I recommend you to check and take in consideration: How do I improve the accuracy of my heart-rate reading?.
Keep me posted, I'll be around.

Hi @RicardoFitbit, thank you for your answer.
As I mentioned earlier, I don't have any problems with seeing my heart rate in the app, which shows the correct values.
The problem is that the pebble displays incorrect HR, while the app displays way more accurate and adequate data.
Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it?
I cannot run with the phone in front of my eyes all the time! 🙂

Hey guys, it's a serious issue that can affect health, or even cause death!
It would be ok if the Fitbit displayed error, or nothing, or even higher HR.
But when it shows lower HR, it becomes just dangerous!

Hey, welcome back @prodmitry thanks for your reply and update.
Can you please confirm if the steps on my previous post were took in consideration? As with all heart-rate tracking technology, accuracy is affected by personal physiology, location of wear, and type of movement. When you’re not exercising, I will recommend you to wear your device a finger’s width above your wrist bone. Fitbit’s PurePulse technology is designed to be most accurate when you wear your device on the top of your wrist.
Please note that Fitbit devices are not considered medical devices, therefore, if you need a device to monitor your heart rate due to a medical condition, I recommend you to consult your doctor for further assistance.
Let me know if you need anything else.

@RicardoFitbitI saw your post, and I always wear my Fitbit during the workout as you recommended.
Also, I don't have any problems with _tracking_ my heart rate, but only with displaying it on the device.
As I mentioned earlier, my Fitbit App and Fitbit Ionic device display different heart rate.
I compared it with another device (non-fitbit), and realized that Fitbit App displays the correct HR, while Fitbit Ionic device has a significant lag in displaying the heart rate.
Fitbit Ionic is a fitness tracker, so people use it for the sport and fitness purposes, to check their heart rate, and assume that it should display more or less correct data.
But even well-trained sportsmen can have cardiac arrest if they work at critical HR for the long time.
So displaying significantly lower HR is dangerous for anyone.
It's better to display error instead of lying to the users...

Hello again @prodmitry I appreciate your reply. I'm glad to continue assisting you.
Thanks for confirming that you checked my previous post and for taking this information in consideration. Seems odd that the heart rate data measured with your device and the one in the app doesn't match, even more when this information should be the same because your device sync this data to the app. Fitbit do not recommend to compare our devices with other heart rate tracking technologies because these devices use a different software and algorithms so the tracking result may differ. I recommend you to uninstall the Fitbit app, reboot your mobile device, reinstall our app and let me know how it goes.
Also, I appreciate the feedback that was provided, we're always working to improve our products and services.
I'll looking to your reply.
