Difficulties charging Ionic

Every time I go to Charge my Ionic, it becomes very Difficult.  I have to fiddle with the charging port.  I use a fingernail brush, scrubbing both the Ionic and the charger port.  Does anyone have any Helpful advice?

• Make charging easier by just placing the Fitbit onto a charging Plate.
• Notifications about the Battery being low, by having it Vibrate to warn the Wearer, instead of sending an e-mail

Hmmm, I've had two Ionics over the last several years and I've never had an issue getting it to charge; the magnetic head to the cable literally jumps toward the charger port on the back of the Ionic, yes, I might need to pivot or scooch it a bit, but it always charges.
