Distance cues while running

I used to be able to set my old Surge to vibrate on distance and/or time cues; I have not yet found this functionality on the Ionic, does it exist? I really could do with knowing what my pace is each mile when I’m actually out running, rather than having to wait until I’ve finished and synched the data.

@TheEllieMo your Surge did not have this feature, your Surge does not have a built in speaker, or the ability to connect headphones. As @sfringer mentions you where starting your runs through the Fitbit app on the phone.

You can set Auto Cues within the Exercise app. Launch the Exercise app, choose the exercise you want to set cues for (i.e. Running) and then tap the gear icon in the upper corner. There should be an option in the resulting settings for configuring your desired cue distance/time.

I did not say that a Surge has voice cues; I said it *vibrated* at a distance of my choice (0.5 mile, 1 mile, 0.5km, 1km).

Thanks! I’ve found that option, didn’t know it existed! 🙄

@Rich_Laue I never mentioned that @TheEllieMo was starting the exercise on a phone. I was providing guidance for updating the Auto-Cues within the Exercise app on the Ionic.

I now have the new look on my Ionic, with Discover, Today and Community icons at the bottom.  It appears to me you can only get the Exercise App from the Discover icon, and the Gear Icon only lets you choose goals, not cues.  Can anyone offer a solution?  Thanks

Never mind.  I found it - you have to adjust on the devise, not the app.  Sorry for the post.

@SunsetRunner glad you found it. Ok when you stated new look on the ionic, it sounded like you meant new look on the Fitbit App, not the ionic.

You are correct. I realized I had to look at the actual device.

Thanks for your interest.
