Downloading apps

I was unable to download the calculator app. A problem occurred in that I couldn't stop it when I tried to give up on the app. How can I stop this download seems like it would just burn up a lot of battery. The only options are to continue or to try later. There is no selection to stop or discontinue the download all together. This seems kind of silly

I have several app stuck in this state.. fitbit coach, flashlight, map and settings app. The download progress bars on my andorid app just keeps bouncing back and forth but nothing happens. Every time I start the android app, it given me a message about "continuing the install". I press yes but nothing happens. Every new app I tried to download get stuck in this queue of downloads. Is there any way to cancel these pending/stuck app downloads.

The only solution I found was to reset the versa back to factory settings . There has to be a better way than this!

Hey there @Wvtullfan and @Dlipinski, thanks for stopping by! Sorry to hear about the inconveniences you've been having with your Fitbit watches.

Keep in mind that up to 39 apps can be installed on your watch at a time. Your watch must be connected to Wi-Fi in order for some apps to install or update. To make sure yours is connected, see How do I connect my Fitbit watch to Wi-Fi?

To install an app:

  1. With your watch nearby, on the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon () > your device image.
  2. Tap or click Apps > All Apps.
  3. Browse the available apps. When you find the one you want to install, tap or click it.
  4. Tap or click Install.
  5. Some apps require certain permissions in order to work properly, such as access to the internet or the ability to run in the background. Review these requested permissions and tap or click Install to add the app to your watch. Note that some permissions can cause your phone to use more data. If you decide at a later time that you don’t want an app to have certain permissions, you can adjust these permissions later.

Additionally, I'd recommend checking the article: How do I set up and troubleshoot apps on my Fitbit watch?

Give this a go and let me know the outcome!

Thanks for the reply.  I have double checked all the things you've mentioned but still get an error message while trying to install strava, this is after I did a factory reset on the tracker through the settings menu. Please keep in mind all other functions are working with no connectivity issues. When I click on my APPS I get the error message that Strava is stuck loading basically. It won't let me stop it. I've logged out and back into my account, turned my phone off and removed the battery, placed the tracker in the cradle... There must be a way to clear the app from trying to download.

After trying everything suggested I searched for Wi-Fi connection issues and that's where I found a suggestion to always dock the tracker and turn the phones battery saver feature off. I haven't had any further issues since . Fingers crossed!
