Using an S8 with the Ionic. I'm getting duplicate email, text and calendar alerts for some reason. It's really annoying because it's spaced just get enough apart that I forget and think I'm getting a second notification. Anyone else getting this?
Try resetting to factory settings then.
Best AnswerHi KahneFan,
I think I experience the same.
When I get a WhatsApp message that I clear on my Ionic and then another WhatsApp messages comes in, I get both messages on my Ionic.
Does this describe your issue with duplicate notifications as well?
Would be nice if this could be patched.
I am having the same problem on my S7 Edge. If I don't check my messages right away it will send me double the notifications. It will even send me a duplicate after I dismissed the notification from the watch and when I go into my phone it will send me the same one again.
Would be nice if people updated their signatures with make of phone and Android version being used, then we could tell at a glance what config has the problem or not every time they post.
I can't reproduce with my environment.

I posted twice. The timestamps seem to make sense for both these posts.
Best AnswerSame problem here with a Galaxy S8. Mine seems to have to do with unread emails mostly. If I see a notification for an email but don't go read it the watch will keep buzzing my arm until I do read it. Then there are times when it will buzz me as many as 4 times in succession for the same notification.
Mine may be defective hardware as I was told by Fitbit helpline that was the reason I get steps while charging. Hopefully when I exchange mine tonight it will sort things out.
