Empty TCX files on GPS tracked data

I went out for an 8 mile run yesterday and the entire run was tracked using my Fitbit Ionic with successful GPS connection for the entire run. The map and all the subsequent stats are appearing on my Fitbit Dashboard but when I attempt to download the run and manually upload it into Strava or open it using another application, it states that the file is empty.

I have read other articles where people have said that the file will be empty if there is no GPS data, however this run was fully connected with GPS so I'm a bit stuck.

Has anyone else had any success with downloading this data?

I haven't tried to download, but if you are trying to manually upload to Strava, a suggestion would be to connect the two and allow it to automatically upload to Strava. Works well for me (so far).

My two accounts are already linked and usually my Fitbit automatically uploads directly into Strava without me needing to download any files.

There's been issues with auto-uploads on Strava recently and I wanted to make sure that my run uploaded. It's been over 2 days now and it still hasn't synced...
