Syncing, but Challenges wont sync

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've been having issues like everyone else with the syncing (on newest firmware). My Ionic seems to be syncing to the app fine - all my steps, my sleep, and exercises are appearing. My steps also sync with the weekly challenges with friends, but when I click on the Ionic in the app, under the Sync section, it shows that I haven't synced since yesterday...but it has. My steps are all there.

A weekend challenge ended, my steps were synced and showed up, but it was still telling me I hadn't synced, so the challenge couldn't end.

I unpaired the Ionic from my phone, erased it from the app and re-added it like the steps say and it was able to sync again.

Why is this happening, and I will I ever be able to have my Ionic sync without jumping through hoops everyday? Starting to regret this purchase....

Awesome troubleshooting

Which OS does your phone use? iOS, Android, Windows?

Thank You

Android. I've tried syncing with an iPhone and had the same results.

I too am having problems with my Ionic syncing my steps with my challenge.  Spoke with Sara of Fitbit yesterday and she said this was a known issue.  Seems I am only getting about 50% credit for my efforts.  My watch shows accurate step, my iPhone shows steps, the App shows my steps, however it won't update to the challenge page.  The watch says it is syncing just no update to the numbers.  My Surge works great.

Having same issues! Steps showing on phone but no steps in challenges!

Going to get refund as issues from day one and fitbit not interested!! Like people saying"Ionic wasnt ready but they still pushed it out in time for Christmas "!!

*Yep, no help from FitBit, they insist it isn't a problem with the Ionic,
except my Surge worked without any problem. They say it is in the app.
How can this be? They just don't want a flood of returned Ionics. See

Hi Dave,

Thank you very much for waiting for our response.

Upon checking our records, we weren't able to confirm an issue with your
Ionic. Currently, we are experiencing an issue with the Fitbit app which
causes this, however, it is not related with any tracker or watch. Thanks
for letting us know about this issue. Our engineers are aware of the
problem and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. We understand
that you haven't had this issue with your Surge but rest assured, this is
not an issue related with your watch.

We're sorry for any inconvenience it's caused. We appreciate your patience
and look forward to getting you back on track.

Please let us know if there's anything we may do to assist you in the
meantime.

Sincerely,

Jose M. and the Fitbit Team

Neither do i feel its the app as never had these problems with my charge 2! No time scale given so will it be fixed next week? Next year??? Shame as love the app which sort of ties me to fitbit otherwise would go elsewhere. Going to look at other trackers and apps such as Samsung.

Over a year has past since this original post - yet still seems to be a problem on Ionic. I’m in 3 Workweek Challenges - all same time zone, yet each has me at a different step total!! Why?
