I have changed the exercises to track and the order I would like them to appear on the app however they haven't changed on the ionic.  They are still on default list. I have tried a number of times to sync. Can anyone help

It sounds like your Ionic isn't syncing, it needs to sync to update the exercise shortcuts. 

 

Follow the troubleshooting steps in the following help article - Why won't my Fitbit device sync? to see if you can get it to sync properly.

Hello and Welcome @Gemclare.  @N8teGee gave you some great advice, and I'll try to add to that.  You don't mention which Fitbit app your using (iOS/Android or PC), so I'll give you the iOS version (if I provide more detail than you need, just skip):

1.  Open the Fitbit App

2.  SELECT the Ionic Watch in the TOP LEFT Corner

3.  SELECT "Exercise Shortcuts"

4.  SELECT "Edit" in the top right corner

5.  Reposition and -/+ the ones you need or don't need appearing

6.  SELECT "Done" in the top right corner

7.  SYNC your Ionic with your Fitbit App

NOTE:  If you did all of this already (which may be the case), than I would suggest you "RESET" (Press and HOLD the LEFT and BOTTOM RIGHT buttons down together until the Fitbit Icon appears and release) your Ionic and than see if that resolves it.
