Ionic Random Shutdown and will not Resart.

I went for my morning walk and tracked it on my Ionic with GPS like I always do. It seemed to work fine. Then I came in to take a shower and noticed the display would not come on. Thinking I must have bumped the button I tried to turn it back on but it would not restart. When I got out of the shower it the device got really hot and still would not turn on. I cooled down after a few minutes but is completely dead. I have tried charging it overnight, I tried putting it some rice in case water got in it( even though I have showered with it on before), I tried reseting it, nothing will work. It might be fried but I bought it off eBay and Fitbit won't replace it because of that. What should I do? Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I just cut my losses and look at getting a different tracker? I am frustrated that I bought it brand new but they won't replace it because I got it on eBay. If I had known the warranty wouldn't cover it that way I would have bought it somewhere else. I would just really appreciate if someone had any ideas on what I should do.

It doesn't sound like you have many options as you didn't buy the device from an authorised reseller. 

Have you tried contacting the eBay seller and explaining the situation to them? I'm not sure what the returns policy on ebay is, but if the seller is a business seller they may have some responsibility.

Hello @ScribbleFox and Welcome.  @N8teGee provides some valid points.  If you have not already contacted the seller (on eBay), you may want to do so.  You don't say how long you have had your Ionic, so the seller may be able to help.  Other than that, it sounds like you have tried everything correctly, but you may still want to contact Customer Care for further assistance!  Please post back and let us know how it goes.  Thanks and keep on STEPPING!
