Received my iconic, and I'm impressed so far, but will need more time to fully check it out. I've used heart rate monitor with app on my smartphone for years now, and was hoping this could replace that. One thing missing, that I hope I've just overlooked thus far is existence of an FM tuner. It has BlueTooth, music capability... I would have thought there would be ability to listen to FM radio as well. If not, It will be very disappointing. I work out at a gym 3 days a week and watch and listen to TV that they broadcast the audio over FM throughout the gym. I used to lug around my phone and a separate FM tuner device to listen. How nice it would be to have it all in one compact fitness device.

Sadly an FM tuner is not available. Very few phones these days even have that, sadly... I love to walk listening to the radio, because the BBC radio 4 we have in the UK is wonderfully interesting... However, most people seem to prefer listening to music, which is widely available otherwise...
Bluetooth is not enough to receive an FM signal... No BT wireless headphones have this availability...
I would doubt that this will ever be available, but you could try adding a feature request and see if others would like to see this implemented.

Unfortunate, and I think a missed opportunity, not only for FitBit, but other tracker vendors. I have to believe there's a lot of people that are in the same situation.
A lot of smartphones actually have a tuner, but the vendors don't enable it, likely because they want you using the data streaming as much as possible. It's possible there is a tuner in the iconic, but not enabled as well. I'll open a feature request and see what happens. In the meantime, I guess I'm stuck lugging two devices.

Thanks Julia_G for the feature request link. I found an existing request. I added my vote. If other are interested, please go there and vote/comment as well.

It wouldn't be technically possible to add this to the Ionic. The only radios available on the device are Bluetooth and WiFi, neither are capable of receiving an FM signal.
I wouldn't feel too disappointed though, I don't believe there is a single smartwatch/fitness tracker that has an FM radio and I doubt there ever will be.

Many of the radio stations here dual broadcast FM and via web stream (I realize that won't help the OP). I hadn't even thought of an FM radio on a phone or watch in a long time. Remember them using a headphone cord as the antenna, and spotty reception.
